Rigul Trust raises funds for welfare projects and poverty relief in Tibetan communities in India and Tibet . Humanitarian, Dharma and Ecological activities are undertaken.

The objectives written into the Charity Commission Governing Document are: “The relief of poverty and financial hardship, the advancement of education, the advancement of religion, the relief of sickness, the preservation and protection of good health, in particular but not exclusively in Rigul, Kham, Tibet as the trustees may decide”.
Rigul Trust's main
priority and responsibility is raising awareness and funds
every year for the school and health clinic in Rigul, Kham,
Tibet.
Ringu Tulku is still the Abbot of Rigul Monastery
having to operate from a position of exile.
Rigul, Tibet is Ringu Tulku's main
responsibility.
Rigul Trust raises awareness and funds the
following in Rigul, Kham, Tibet:
Health
Clinic
The Advanced Running costs of the Health
Clinic.
The Salaries of Dr Chuga, Ani Choden, the nurse and
the medical training of Karma Tsisha the doctor's assistant.
The
School
The education of the children at Rigul School,
their text books and also provides two free, hot meals a day for each child at
school.
The salaries of the Teachers and the
Cooks.
The Trust also funds one of the Khenpo's
salaries.
Maintenance
and Construction work in Rigul, for example we have
funded a dining room for the children who previously had to eat in the
open air high up in the Himalayas, the first ever toilet in Rigul, piped
underground water to taps within the village for the first time ever and other
work.
Other projects that Rigul
Trust has been involved with over the last few years
are:
Disaster
Relief Work - in the past for the Yushu
earthquake, the Ladakh floods and the Sikkim earthquake.
The Publication
of Ringu Tulku's commentary on Chenrezig, the practice
of compassion and this was fully sponsored so that 100% of the
proceeds of the sales could go to Rigul, Tibet.
Ringu
Tulku's London teachings have been recorded onto CD and
DVD and 100% of all the proceeds from the sale of these goes to
Rigul, Tibet.
Tibetan in Exile
Settlement - From time to time Rigul Trust funds
projects in the Tibetan in exile settlement in Manduwala in Dehradun area in
India.
